The Old Woman With The Knife

SYNOPSIS: Hornclaw, a seasoned assassin in her sixties, faces upheaval when Bullfight, a skilled young hitman, seeks to partner with her. Unaware of his true identity, she fails to recognize their past connection. As tensions rise, their relationship spirals into a deadly confrontation fueled by vengeance and survival.

DIRECTOR: Min Kyu-dong

Min Kyu-dong is a South Korean film director, screenwriter and producer. He studied economics at Seoul National University, and upon graduation, he entered the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA). He made his feature directorial debut with the horror film Memento Mori (1999) which is considered the most influential Korean horror film of the 2000s.

After pursuing further film studies in France, he returned in 2005 with his second feature and solo directorial debut All for Love. Centered on a diverse group of couples and singles who experience love and tragedy over the course of one week in Seoul, the film was a box office success. He is also known for his other works, including Antique (2008), All About My Wife (2012), and The Treacherous (2015). His latest film, the action thriller The Old Woman with the Knife, is based on the novel of the same name by Gu Byeong-mo. The film premiered at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival as part of the Berlinale Special programme.
